Year 11 and 12 Education Cost Are Not Controlled

If you understood Secondary Education cost in Public Costs to be limited in year 11 and 12, as in other school years, by the Western Australian government that is certainly not the case.

Year 11 and 12 education recoverable costs are fully recoverable from parent or guardians, unlike others earlier education years were limits on recoveries are placed on schools by the government.

The cost of materials , services and facilities are fully recoverable cost from parents - in Year 8, 9 and 10 this is set at $235 maximum.

There is no maximum put on a Public School for year 11 and 12 on what can recover, it must not however be more than the cost of what is provided.

What is not provided for the policy is how the amount can be made up by the school, there a few if any controls, however, it does require approval by the school council if one is operational.

The #wa2013vote website will be kept online so politicians promises and statements can be checked until the end of next WA election in 2017, and after.
