Peel Health iT Matters

Why Multi Fraud issues at Peel Health

The fraud squad investigation into Peel Campus whistle blower Ashton Foley is another in saga's that have surrounded the Mandurah Hospital.

WA Police have been quoted as saying they are investigating a complaint by Peel Health over Foley's employment at the hospital.

Foley who is had been arrested and jailed in the US has tainted the process from comments in the media and by Politicians.

It will be up to the inquiry head to decide in regard to Foley's future participation, if in fact she intends to participate.

The matter has left the Peel Hospital private operator with egg on its face and Health Solutions WA has been severely affected in demonstrating its competence in the public perception arena of the ability to run the hospital.

This is not the first case the Fraud Squad has been involved with in regard to Peel Health, a 2002 investigation resulted in current Chairman and majority shareholder Jon Fogarty charged by WA Police over the alleged theft of $430k. The charges were subsequently dropped.

Current Liberal candidate Tony Solin was involved in the transactions at the heart of the Fogarty Police charge.

Premier Colin Barnett has yet to disclose publicly why his Chief of Staff Richard Ellis, at the time in 2000, was the signatory to the bank account that was involved with the Fogarty withdrawn fraud charge, despite not being an officer or director of the company involved.

The #wa2013vote website will be kept online so politicians promises and statements can be checked until the end of next WA election in 2017, and after.
