Sex work is still on the criminal code in all states and territories except NSW. Having sex work on the criminal code means increased police harassment for marginalized groups such as Aboriginal street-based sex workers, Asian and migrant sex workers, HIV positive workers, and trans people sex workers.

The WA government funded an independent report into the Sex Industry that was produced in 2010.

Despite this report action in regard to Sex Workers has seen continual delay in the WA parliament.

Following our request to WA political parties on their policy on Sex Workers the Greens have followed up with confirmation of the following feedback supplied to the WA Attorney General in 2011.

The #wa2013vote website will be kept online so politicians promises and statements can be checked until the end of next WA election in 2017, and after.
