Liberal Statement

A Liberal Government, if re-elected, will transform community sporting facilities in Joondalup with a comprehensive plan to build a new home for the West Perth Football Club, new facilities for the Wanneroo Basketball Association, 10 more outdoor netball courts and a rugby field.
 
“The Liberals recognise that quality local sporting facilities are an essential part of building and maintaining healthy communities,” Premier Colin Barnett said.

Nationals Announcement

Nationals WA candidate for Moore, Shane Love today said The Nationals’ would provide funding to support talented athletes and help sporting clubs in regional WA access equipment.

Mr Love said the Junior Representative Travel Assistance Program and the Community Sports Equipment Grants recognized the importance of sports in regional communities and would encourage participation.

However, one strong belief I do have, and will continue to communicate, is that government has a responsibility to fund sport and the associated community facilities because of the benefits they bring to society.

Ministerial Statement

Sport and recreation clubs across Western Australia will continue to receive State Government support with the announcement of $470,000 to extend the Club Development Officer Scheme.

The #wa2013vote website will be kept online so politicians promises and statements can be checked until the end of next WA election in 2017, and after.
